Exactly! I said something similar in response to a similar topic on this page. Idk where it went tho but this is what I said.
Tbh... 'her' (the demon lord) story was a lot deeper that it appeared 'cause what 'she' wanted was life. So every time she devoured a life she could recreate it to be, according to her understanding, 'whole'. I believe that she actually was a type of saintess in her own way because she returned the memories to the being she recreated. Then when the people she consumed or took in, were attacked and slaughtered by their own fellow humans in a manner that even beasts do not behave, 'she' was horrified and cursed them to be consumed by their own malice. Then in turn 'she' was also consumed by grief, resentment and anger turning 'her' into a demon lord.
Oh so its her sorry i was hesitating before posting it but i cant edit it again because it's gonna erase your comment ╥﹏╥
I'm still lost coz I thought Gongja would have already saw her past memories by now as a penalty but he appeared confused when he saw that there was skin under that mud like figure. Honestly you couldn't have worded that better than how you did it, by cursing them she burried herself into all this ressentment and anger. I mean it's totally understandable, she spent times helping them and healing them so she gained some of their humanity and watching them being all slaughtered just like that by their own species, of course she was gonna lose it.
Nah it's fine! I only called it a 'her' cause of the human form it decided to take on. And as for why Gongja was confused at the appearance of skin...was he confused? or was it more like "Oh look there is skin underneath!" ?
But the penalty... we don't know what exactly he saw 'cause he said 'Lets talk about that nightmare some other time.' But even if he did see the penalty I don't think he would see the transition of the monster from what it was to what it is. He didn't see how the kids all happened to turn into dolls right? He figured that out himself? idk it's been a while so pls tell me if I'm not making any sense.
No no on the contrary I hope my comments made sense ლ(´ڡ`ლ) I'm not a native english speaker so I tend to create new english words sometimes when I talk or write I don't even notice it until someone point it out.
Actually I started reading webtoons other than just BL and romance really recently so its the first one of that kind that I read here and damn I definitely ain't dissapointed, this one is great.
I want to recommend you another manhwa that I'm reading at the same time but it's really not the same universe at all ╥﹏╥
It's just that I really like it too and I want people to enjoy it too
Thank you (≧∀≦) This site made me learn more words than all of my english teachers actually
This manhwa is called How to fight.
It's honestly pretty good (at least that's what I think) hope you enjoy reading it as much as I do.
Oh and just in case you wanna read it in one treat, you might wanna wait for more chapters before reading the chapter 80, if you're as emotional as I am you might preffer to wait for a clear and straight closure for this arc.
Look I ain't saying that the demon king was a hero but he was actually helping people and saving their life by creating new healthy bodies and integrating their real memories so from this point of view those who messed up first were the people that Gongja and everyone are helping right now. He killed people so obviously I don't want a happy ending for him but he became outraged only after seeing them treated their peers like nothing and killing them in cold blood so I want them to at least acknowledge that. He ain't the only villain of the story.
