well.. you're right about that, I had not thought of it tbh.. the only explanation I am thinking of is that he was losing his powers at the time (if I'm not wrong) so he was becoming more human and therefore his image was visible on the phone, at the time then. and when he became fully a human, that's when his image became visible in the photos of his past self. cause then he lost all of what made him a sprite and therefore his past was altered to fit his new self. like he was always human.

I loved it but there's just a little plothole. before he couldn't be seen in a photograph, bbut they were videocalling. I also would like to see another kind of benefit.... uhuu whyyyyy what a torture. i like theeeem. i suddenly missed my baby
