While it's true that isn't accurate representation of BDSM, the truth of the matter is that neither of them actually knew what they were doing in terms of BDSM so I doubt anybody would be thinking of it as a prime example. The uke clearly had some experience, but the seme was just doing what he thought the uke might like and basically winging it so, the way I see it, it was quite natural that the seme eventually lost his cool--especially when he seemed so at-odds with himself when it came to BDSM play. I felt like he wasn't actually into BDSM at all, just really into the uke.
You do know physical and mental abuse is part of bdsm right. it that way the illustrator actually did a good job on this.
I'm sorry but I don't think you understand the manga. It's as Cyanide said, this is not meant to be only a BDSM story. It's also about acknowledging what you both want from your relationship. Also you say that yaois have stockholm synd endings but, ironically, this may be one of the few that doesn't. The uke is clearly into the seme from the start, but he doesn't want him to do something he doesn't enjoy. That's why he puts a stop at it. The pain that doesn't feel good for the uke is the pain the seme inflicts while disliking himself. That's why they put a stop at it, but I think uke still likes him. Tldr ukes feeling never change, also ukes always had control so se can't talk of Stockholm Syndrome.
Abuse is not part of bdsm, I don't know where you got this kinda idea from
As stated above, abuse is NEVER a part of BDSM.
I commented exactly how I felt when I read it, that's why I used terms like "I feel" and "to me" I understood the manga as to how I read it. Your comment is like me telling you that you didn't understand it, I'm sure we both understood it perfectly fine, just in our own and different ways.
We are allowed to disagree, you can like the manga, that's fine, personally I think there's much better yaoi manga out there, especially yaoi manga that portrays BDSM. If you really liked it, well that's okay too, I'm glad you found a manga you liked ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶.
I feel like I need to defend myself a bit because I didn't say "yaois have Stockholm syndrome endings" I said ""Happy endings" (it was portrayed as happy because they were still together, but I didn't see it as happy at all) in yaoi like this always seem a bit Stockholm syndrome-y *to me*"
And by that I meant that in my opinion the uke developed feelings under duress, I feel like at such a young age he felt no one would get his fetish so when someone came along willing to do what he liked that automatically made his heart leap a little and began to get attached even though things started going wrong.
He may have had feelings before the relationship started, but I didn't see it mentioned in the manga, I personally didn't feel that way whilst reading it, so I think it's open to interpretation.
I agree the Dom didn't know what he was doing, but if he truly cares for his Sub like he's supposed to, he should research his role and communicate.
For me at the end of the day a safe word is there for a reason and if a Dom takes the ability to use it away I find that really horrible.
(You guys can keep liking it, me disliking it doesn't effect anything, I have nothing against the mangaka or the mangas fans, but this manga isn't for me personally.)
Peace.

I think it was a very accurate depiction of two relative novices engaged in BDSM. The Ike had experiences that were limited and never involved him fully trusting his partner. The seme was "winging it" as another comment said. Dabbling in BDSM can get someone hurt. As can a lack of communication. Names are NEVER good safe words - another indication of them being novices - because it can be misunderstood. This story covered all this and more. It showed the mistakes made and their consequences. Making it an excellent depiction of BDSM and what NOT to do, in my opinion.
I feel this is not an accurate representation of BDSM, a dom shouldn't lose control and hurt their sub, especially when they're possibly saying a safe word.
I know it's just fiction, but this is some peoples only peak into that lifestyle so seeing it misrepresented as abusive is really offputting.
The art was great and the story was interesting enough, but those plot points made me not enjoy this. "Happy endings" in yaoi like this always come across a bit Stockholm syndrome-y to me.
That's just my two cents though...
