I mean you can definitely at the very least headcannon that he’s poc (as we’re not 100% sure about cannon yet). But even if he ends up being white I don’t think it should be a problem, just like I don’t think it should be a problem if he ends up not being white. Anyway, the only issue I have is people thinking that white people are only pale as shit and can’t be dark, and if they are dark it’s because they’re trying to emulate poc and not just embracing their natural color.
Unless that white Person is mixed with something else ( for example One can still considered white even tho their Hispanic/ latino or Latina but even this could be argued against) then yes it is a bit of issue… Also poc isn’t and should never be considered problematic pocs are born that way it isn’t a matter of opinion now a yt person who wasn’t born naturally that way is an issue and is allowed to be questioned… Sorry to hear that think it shouldn’t be a issue but pocs are oppressed for their skin color so for a white person to basically change their race is very much an issue. I hope that you can see how that is problem at some point if not today
I don’t think anyone’s natural skin color should be an issue. Going out in the sun is natural, skin darkening from that is natural. I’m not saying anything about people trying to change their race. I’m talking about the fact that white people that are darker than pocs exist just like pocs with very light skin exist. I don’t think anyone’s skin color is problematic, no matter what shade it is, if you think otherwise, maybe you’re the problem.
You literally said verbatim “ just like I don’t think it should be a problem if he ends up not being white”
I don’t think are the key words here that I was replying to when I said how poc isn’t ever a opinion you saying “ I think” implies believing that it is .. so no I’m not the issue you just didn’t chose your words carefully
Also I agree yt people can very much tan but if a white person a WHITE person who was born white if they are born pale skin becoming as dark as Kyle is changing ones race at that point because you are no longer considered white .. people will automatically assume that you are poc unless it’s stated otherwise and that can be and is allowed to be questioned
Let me get this straight, so if you can’t immediately tell a white person is white because of the color of their skin, that white person is problematic and not you because you need to know what race they are? Also who no longer considers them white? Are light skin black people no longer considered black because they’re the same color as white people? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?
Okay maybe you just don’t understand the difference between an objection and subjective statement or you genuinely believe that being born poc and whether or not its problematic is up for debate… say “ I think” or “I believe “ is subjective this means that it’s an opinion now saying “ just like how being poc isn’t a issue” is an objective statement meaning the statement is not an opinion that it isn’t about your personal feelings
You’re gonna tell me that when you looked at Kyle you thought white man that’s what you are gonna say. Also Did I say anything about poc??? Nope I did not i said white what is white implying a person who is born racially white now there’s a difference between a white person and white passing and I did not once bring up passing because I’m not discussing about them I’m talking about white people. I’m very much done with this conversation because you obviously aren’t that well informed about this subject. Have a nice day
Tbh I don’t know why people think white people can’t be tan (or at least dark when they’re tan)? I know plenty of white people that are darker in pigment than POC.
