and it's not just illegal reading but illegal watching as well. i guarantee most of them watch anime (applies to everything btw movies, series, cartoon, etc) illegally and the crazy thing is that most mainstream anime are free to watch on crunchyroll

Some people just feel guilt ? If you can’t seem to empathize, that doesn’t mean others wont. No ones telling you to get off this site; we all use it for our own reasons. And that’s not to say every author doesn’t deserve support. It’s just given this authors current situation and mental health, people are trying to put in some extra effort to support legally (since there’s a literal free way to do it) and are encouraging others to do the same, that’s it. After all, we’re all fans of this story she created. It’s about trying to support as much as possible, not completely. As illegal readers we have to acknowledge we’re wrong at least. No ones acting innocent when we all have accounts here lol that’s my take, though I do see your point.

I don't want people who read manga illegally, telling me to not read illegally. That's my whole point. Idc whether the other readers have feelings of guilt because of what the author is going through. Their feelings ain't my business. I only empathize with the author. My whole comment is about the hypocritical illegal readers, not the author.

I’m trying to tell you that no one here is forcing you to stop reading illegally, just encouraging those who are WILLING and open to the idea (clearly not you) to try and support (and it worked since so many started to open lezhin accounts). You find it annoying that people are trying to convince others to try to show SOME support to the author that you supposedly empathize with?
