the thing about 12yo is the more u force them to not do something the more that particular thing embeds into their mind...so if u wanna get her off of it do it passively.
And it rly depends how addicted they are...like wat if they just read once in a while...

yeah if you try and stop them then they get mad and read more just to spite you while grumbling "ill show you ill read it alllllll" and if they arent reading it 24/7 they should be fine

No don't let them... U r elder so u can stop them... U have the authority to do that... It is a very crucial time for every kid... Cuz, it is the time where they started to understand things which they didn't before... And this is the time where they don't know what is exactly taken as wrong since there mind is still not mature enough... And they might think what's the deal it is just fiction and they unconsciously start to take things lightly....
I started reading bl after I turned 19...i am not saying everyone should do that but I will say one thing 13 to 16 yrs of age is very rebellious phase and the mind of ones always wonder around ....
There should be no problem where it is mutual... Like not against anything extreme... Since, it is a learning too.... But, they should be at least 15 yrs old and learn the meaning of acceptance....
If I were u I would've grounded them from their phone... Tho in turn I may get hate but it is for them......

i mean a better lock would be an APP lock where only individuals apps would be locked..
i'd say lock the browser she uses idk...maybe google/safari/chrome/explorer and other engines used to excess the internet that way she cant search for....well...anything.

And im sure she uses utube and i dont wanna be too mean and lock that off as well but i would check her Google account history (even if u delete ur history from utube it still saves onto ur account) to see if she searches for those stuff in Utube as well because she'd be pretty smart if she went on utube to search them (tons of yaoi content there) BUT yeh if she doesnt....might as well as keep utube open
