I just love that authors are slowly stopping to use rape as a plot device
I think authors are finely noticing how disturbing it is
The characters are raped but they don't acknowledge it rarely they even say the word rape

There's are yaoi manga called hidoku shinaide I find interesting that as any yaoi from the 2000s it still started with heavy rapey vibes but I think in the 5 or 6 vol the seme character admits that the things he did back in the first vol. Was rape and its extremely disturbed by himself I think it was a form of the author to show that they had changed too

omg this Manga!! it used to be recommended a LOT and i kept going back to it but i legit couldn't get past the few chapters because of how awful it is! i actually started reading the newer chapters because of fluffy happy screenshots on tumblr and it's legit so different from the first few ones....i kept thinking, is this really the same manga? but fr ure right i guess the author did realise how fucked up rape is as a plot point on mangas.
