I just assumed the location was something they inputted themselves when creating a profile- not something like a gps kind of thing but idk
the location thing that was mentioned means that the app only matched people with a person who's near. that doesn't necerally means you can't talk in the app with the person you're matched if they are overseas.
Ah ok. I was just thinking that the app would keep at least keep track of a general location at all times. But it does make sense if it's just for matching with people who are nearby at first.

I've been reading the novel and there was something mentioned about location but I also remember this being mentioned in the manhua . Zhaomu was able to tell that "Andrew" was around 3 miles away.
Couldn't he have been able to tell that "Andrew" was still nearby when he was supposedly in Seattle? Unless Yuanxun turned off his location or changed it but it hasn't been mentioned in either the manhua or novel. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
