The white dress seemed like a distraction. So that she could surprise people I guess? The red dress was really symbolic and it maybe was to throw people off.

Okay okay but hear me out!! WHAT IF instead of introducing the bitch first, she went in with the prince in her red dress and THEN announced the cousin hoe. The element of surprise and the importance of the red dress would still remain. The order of events is whack if you ask me

I don't think she can do that because it would be frown upon by the noble like she the host of the party for her "cousin" I think if she wear the red dress and came with the prince she would look like the guest than the host and she be like stealing the show and the bastard prince would notice

The first dress was her receiption dress. The person hosting a gala wears it before putting on their main attaire as a sort of teaser since they still have to welcome and/or introduce special guests.. tho in this occasion she's introducing her cousin.

Ohh is that a thing? I’ve never seen it done in any other manhwa so i didn’t know! Usually in these types of stories the guest of honor would have their grand entrance by coming late and being introduced by the host who would already be at the party so I assumed that was the proper etiquette or whatever

Yea, it usually just depends on the host's intention (to get the feel of the fashion trend in the room, to simply surprise the guest with their own grande entrance, or usually to adjust to the guest of honor's attire.. in a good way or in this case to show up her cousin) it's not really all that depicted in most manhwa so it was nice that it was shown here. :3
