exactly. there are comments saying its annoying she is weak and doesn't immediately fight back and im like... do u really think a young girl abused her entire life would suddenly be able to act like a girlboss?? even if she wants to retaliate she has to process a lot of trauma and that's gonna take time. its already good that she can start rejecting her dad, don't expect her to start swinging a sword all of a sudden. and its obvious she'd rely on the only person who showed her respect, even if she doesn't trust him. her wishing for safety > revenge makes more sense since she fears for her life every day
I appreciate this take on abuse victims. She was gaslit, abused, in almost every way possible and yet she’s able to think clearly for her safety for probably the first time in her whole life. Some of you guys are weird. You can’t possibly think you’d do better in her situation if you had to live with even 2 years of abuse everyday. Let the girl grow first before judging her.
