It really does pull you in. There's a slice of life tone and deep emotions into the characters if you look beyond the art, which is fairly good, just different. As I'd expect from a Canadian mangaka.

This had me hooked till the latest chapter. It's promising, as with the artwork. I know it's different from the usual fluid lines and sparkle we're all used to, but it isn't exactly easy to control nibbed pens, etc. either. The art will improve along the way. In the meantime, I'll be looking out for more of this author's works!
