I didn't read the novel, just some spoilers and apparently, Rejeph is gonna be so possessive about Cayena, he'll end up killing her Nanny (the one who's like a mother to her). After that, Cayenna will be so angry with him, she'll decide to take away the throne from him and becomes the empress herself. As for him, He will be exiled.

Well, she will apparently visit him after that, so it's not like they'll be enemies.. It's just that Rezef is too unstable to become the Emperor.

Sigh I was looking forward for his extreme character development but I guess that won't happen

thats so sad oml I was hoping they could resolve everything and he would take over but she and the ML would be like active advisers from then on but damn son really f*cked up
