When Navier remarries Heinly and gets pregnant, Sovieshu starts having doubts that the reason why he ans she couldn't have kids all those years might've actually been himself.. It's actually very sad and even though he was shitty to Navier a lot of us still felt pretty bad for him because up until that moment he was very wonderful to Glorym (the baby girl) but when he started having doubts he stopped picking her up as much and them Duke Elegy finishes him by claiming that he's the actual father of the baby.. I know he's trash..I really do, but it's tough watching him litterally lose his sanity bit by bit.

ok so spoilers: as far as ik, the emperor and navier (empress) both ate cookies when they were young, which made both of them infertile. so yes, both of them are infertile. when the emperor's mother asks him about it, he tells her that he's the only one who ate the cookies. his mother tries everything to make him fertile again, but she obviously fails. this is how he knows rashta's child isn't his own, and also why he is so sure navier is infertile. later on, when navier marries heinrey, they make love on some kind of magical bed that fixes all illnesses or injuries, which is why she is able to get pregnant, and they have twins :)
