Actually this is so much more realistic this way, because that's how humans are in reality. They make mistakes, they repent, life goes on. Especially their mention of PTSD after pregnancy blew me away cause' I judged it as a typical Duke and Duchess/ regressor manwha. I now know how completely wrong I was.
Yes, I totally agree. The emotions portrayed are pretty realistic. The way the author built up her depression backstory, and the mistakes she caused because of it were weirdly realistic (coming from someone whose acquaintance got postpartum depression).
Frankly, same as you, I came here expecting some light-hearted regression manhwa where the MC just plainly starts to dote on the kid and shower the kid with love as if nothing had happened in the first place, well i thought wrong because the steps she’s gonna do to repair the relationships she has ignored in her past will possibly be very realistic step-by-step improvements, not some drastic unrealistic change.
I like it. I like the flow and tempo of the story. Yes, the MC is a gray area, she did wrong to her child (and her husband by being ignorant of her choice of words) and on the other hand there were many factors leading to her depression, but her character, for me, was pretty well-written (story-wise). Some readers might not like it though, if they relate in a way that they have neglectful parents, but i like that the author decided to write this type of story and bring light upon issues like these.
