So! What if in that scene Hooni had put his backpack aside beforehand. The firework instead ends up burning a bit of his clothes which actually makes things more humiliating and worse for Hooni. Hooni decides he wants to be alone (ofc Jaehoon is worried he'd do sth to himself but he ends up deciding to leave Hooni alone, deciding to check up on him the next day). Hooni's backpack also ends up with Jaehoon. At his home, Jaehoon accidentally discovers the notebook as he was putting some surprise snacks in Hooni's backpack to cheer him up tomorrow (idk you can fill in all the story gaps as you like) reading the very concerning and frightening title, Jaehoon decides to read the book, his expression slowly changing, shifting and darkening with each page he flips on. It was an attempt after another after another after another, and none of them even knew.
Noticing how the more recent the dates were the more numb and resigned Hooni seemed.... And then with shaking hands. Jaehoon finally reads the last page.
He drops the notebook to the floor.
In a matter of seconds, Jaehoon is already out the door, his phone in hand already calling Soorim.
(I'll leave it to anyone who wants to actually properly write this lol, you could make it so that they save Hooni or it's too late.... Or both endings lmao. Anyways if anyone writes anything with a similar point I'd be more than happy to read it!)

So I got a prompt for a fic about this if anyone is interested in writing some angst. Hurt/comfort.
So starting with chapter 52 after Hooni's visit to the suicide forest (and like did he even tell anyone about going on a trip?), the suicide diary. Am I the only one who found it a shame that his two friends never found that diary? Like I wanted to see their reactions, since they seem to care a lot about him, especially Jaehoon since he clearly knows of Hooni's self-harming, makes me wonder if Soorim sensed something. Hooni hasn't been going to school, been acting sus and it was raining and all and everything was serious.
I was so excited reading that part thinking they'd accidentally find the book and all but the whole book went down in flames
