yeah i get that. It's kinda similar for me. I don't hate her but I don't like her. I typically feel irritated by characters like her and if she were the female lead I would probably drop this manhwa bc i'd get too irritated. I don't like characters that are naive and blindly kind to everyone they meet. Just like eris said I also don't like ppl who don't understand hardships. I tend to avoid ppl like that irl as well. Eris's story (both of them) made me cry. Especially the original Eris. The crown prince is rlly horrid. He doesn't have the courage to speak to his father so he takes everything out on Eris and blames her for everything. She worked hard to be a good empress and learned as much palace EQ and she didn't get an ounce of affirmation. She held everything in and pretended to be okay to the point that she wished she could disappear. In the original story helena said that Eris's feelings weren't that of love and she was written off just like that. Who is helena to say what Eris's feelings are or aren't? They were all childhood friends so why is it that all of them treat Eris like the enemy even before she had done anything? Helena could've properly stopped the crown prince but she didn't. Her telling him to stop was just a way to show how kind she is and I'm not saying she's that calculated bc I don't think she is....I'm referring to the author (not of the manhwa but in general). Authors will write these kind heroine characters but their kindness is rlly just for show.

i truly can’t get myself to hate her, she isn’t a horrible person she’s just a friendly person who’s naive, and after i learned the spoilers, i truly felt bad, although ofc she enjoys love she receives she didn’t ask for them to be all up on her especially the crown prince who just sorta makes decisions for her and there’s nothing much she can do about it.

This is so frustrating cause i feel like i can't hate helena but i most definitely don't like her since this story is from eris's pov. Like her frustration and anger and I feel like her hate for hela is so valid. Helena is loved for being cute and pretty and saying nice things like a child in a grown-ups body. Yet eris tries her best to learn how to be empress and do well and is only ignored or hated like??? Also although helena is "kind" she doesn't reaolve the misunderstanding that had the crown prince slap eris and furthered the hatred between eris, the crown prince, and qajar. I get that this is just how it is for the heroine, but i just feel really frustrated （/TДT)/ ╧╧
