You will get notified of the updates of anything that you mark as "now reading" or "already read," but not "want to read." Does that clear things up for you?

But you need to mark it as 'reading' or 'already read' (both work).
If you mark the manga as 'want to read', then you will NOT get the notification. (but it will be easier to find again)
If you have never gotten a notification, know they will show in the speaker's symbol, next to the mail.

The notification for updates comes only once a day, so for example if you've already received your notification, and you notice another manga that you're currently reading is updated, then you'll get the notification for that manga the next day.

Yeah the notification thing confused me at first too lol, and yeah, it doesn't matter as long as you get notified. As far as I know, I've never NOT been notified so I'm just gonna go ahead and say you can trust mangago to notify you
do i get notified of a manga's update (ofc an ongoing manga) once i read it? i mean, for example, i read shingeki no kyojin and it's still ongoing but i already finished the latest chapter released. will i get notified for the update of the next chap? this goes for the rest of the ongoing mangas that i read.
another thing, what if i open a manga (still an ongoing one) and decided to just read it later so i clicked the 'want to read', will i get notified if it updates?
