I READ SOME SPOILERS BEFORE AND I JUST GOTTA SAY, IT'S KINDA BULLSHIT

ACTUALLY ML wasn't completely wrong. he's at fault at some point but turned out he's also suffering. and sssssh he's the one who turned back time.
apparently everything was plotted by FL's annoying ass father. he planned everything just to make both FL and ML suffering. the one who appointed that monica esthot a.k.a ex fiance is FL's father (SHITTY FATHER DESERVES HELL). it was true that ML took Elle from FL side but it was for the sake of her and his baby (she was mentally unstable, baby blues)and unfortunately war was broke out and he hadn't got the chance to personally return Elle back to his mom. he went to the battlefield for six years and when he went back home, FL had already in her death bed. and yea, Elle was kept close to the thot(ex fiance) not knowing what actually happened to his mother.
ML was wrong at some point but the he wasn't completely wrong because he was so happy when he received the news of FL's pregnancy. when he first received the news, he rushed back home to meet her but FL's father stopped him. shitty father even threatened ML if he didn't go as he said, he'll kill both FL and unborn Elle. again, the servants and maids were also orchestrated by the father. when ML wanted to visit FL after give birth to Elle, the midwife (appointed by fl father) gave so many excuses to ML. saying that he shouldn't visit Reina (FL) due to her condition and saying he should think of the baby. he was so powerless in his own home, that's why he wanted to turn back time hoping that he could be back stronger and protect his loved ones.
anw, ML and ex-fiance weren't in love. their engagement was the usual arragement between nobels. it was arranged for Edhart's (ML) sucessor but due to rumors spreaded, FL thought both ML and that thot was madly in love.
soon after, Elle grew up owning that spiritual power. that's why Elle could touch the spirit since when he was a baby. that was because Elle is special. fifteen years after FL's death, Elle discovered the truth of his mother's death and the scheme behind it by using his spiritual power (the same power used by FL in the latest chapter) he got every bit of the scene on what had happened to his mother. he put his power to destroy the Empire. he was drowned in the sea of grief due to realization on his mother's death and anger towards his father. ML took the responsibility and reversed the time, hoping that he could make up for the better for both his wife and son.
um and in the manhwa they changed lil bit. as i mentioned previously, ML wasn't as neglectful on FL in the novel. that's why some parts of my spoilers might also change depending the manhwa's scriptwriter.
