yes you're right they want to destroy him because the father of yeonjin was the reason why his mother killed herself or hanged herself and also yeonjin's wife love his mother in law cuz she saved her when she was young

they wanna destroy the father in law essentially right? and Moonhyuk wants to create a plan where no one has to actually die for them to separate themselves from him. still not totally sure why the wife went to him but maybe she trusts him a bit and knows his love for her husband now hmm
