Well, the author wanted that kind of story. In reality, some people will think that two dudes dating are disgusting, it's not like they doing something harmful to other people but some people still judge them...I'm neutral, if i see two dudes dating(which is true), I don't care much, it's like " I do my own business " " you do your own business "

Though it's not bc you haven't experienced that kind of things IRL that It doesn't exist.I've plenty of stories when ppl weren't interested in love until they've met someone special, or coming out though they were intolerant bastards before.
There's a shounen ai/yaoi genre that's obviously not a real representation of gay people, it's all fiction and imagination, i doubt the authors who write stories for BL manga/manhwa/manhua have proper knowledge about gay people in reality, it's never meant to be realistic
