I wouldn't want this to become a BL manga because I really love the story and feel that the mangaka may derail from it and focus mostly on the romance, not furthering the plot at all and leaving the story at a standstill.

oh, my BL brain reacts so much, I like the story, and I think if the author just gives us a bit slightly hints, there and there, about them, it would be great.
Well, I think bit of romance will not ruin the story, as long as there is no love conflict, just strong relationship between them, see No.6, romance is not the vocal point, we can clearly see the big conflict but still we can feeeeeeeeeeel their feelings strongly.
I hope so for this series also, please please please, yokais are cute, but those two are even cuter hahaha haha
