Like you said, normally these types of characters never go outside of their “chivalry” box. It’s like the author is giving him a personality finally. Not that’s it’s a great one, but it certainly is a juicy development.
I’m sorry but what cain did is just plain embarrassing. And doesn’t it totally go against every stereotypical knight’s oath ever
