it is a love triangle but both of them care for the mc too much to treat him like some prize in a twisted "who is better" competition. They're aware that the mc is not mentally ready for that so they just try be there for him under the pretense of a friendly rivalry.

He was either killed or left tied up in the shed to starved to death. I can't say for certain which because it was ambiguous as to how his fate ended, but what i'm certain about is that the mc got his justice in the end; his two male love interests and his ex-wife abducted his rapist and locked him up in the same shed for the mc to see him one last time and get his closure.
(for a clearer context: leading to this finale, when the rapist's prison sentence ended, he raped the mc again in the hospital. At this point, the mc has given up and let him because he couldn't fight back with his injuries, the same injuries that he got from saving his rapist's life. Yeah that was hard to read.)

the guy ended up with neither of them but he--all of them are--is given a proper resolution and that's as close to a happy ending as he's going to get after all of the shit he went through. Just a little trigger warning: rape usually don't get to me but this handled the aftermath of one extremely well, so thread carefully if you don't want to take a very unpleasant trip down memory lane too. Also, none of the guys on the cover are bad guys; the villain of the story is the rapist and the rapist alone, which sadly we often forget in this genre.
