That would’ve sucked for me, lol. I rarely read BL set up in this time period because it’s too unrealistic for me to believe that it would be accepted for two people of the same sex to be an endgame couple without a third party of the opposite sex in the mix.
Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy some BL set up in the Olden days like Painter of the Night and King’s Maker, but I also seriously enjoy mangas/webtoons with girls pretending to be men; it tends to be badass work and it’s fun to see the ML question their own sexuality, yet accept that they love them nonetheless.
Anyway, I know you didn’t ask, but I felt like sharing my opinion on the subject.
I wish this was bl.. but half of the plot would disappear if that would happen ┗( T﹏T )┛
