Just curious, why are you not interested in the first couple? It’s really cute and funny! Plus Dojin is a totally power bottom. There are also chapters in the first season where you get a glimpse on what type of person Taewhan is.

i saw banana scandal when it first came up in mangago and the premise (taehee is the little bro that moves in right? roommates to lovers i think) didn't interest me. i saw glimpses of the second couple on social media and it looks like a total angst fest and i'm into that so now i'm interested in banana scandal
Yeah, its not really angsty, so I get that. SO! I looked up when Taewhan first appears. Yeonwu was such a side character in season two, but he popped up randomly in some chapters. I think in the beginning chapters of season two Chi wrote up a page where you can find Yeonwu. We were all blown away from Taewhan that so many were like "who da fuck is Yeonwu?" So yeah. But, I want you to have background on both, especially for Taewhan because the author has written both characters so well that it's really nice to see their personality and foreshadowing. Also, the first couple of episodes of season two overlap with season one, it's just in Yeonwu's perspective. SO Here.
Taewhan first appears in chapter 47 (and honestly, from chapter 47 to chapter 65 is where the first season is angsty and a roller coaster ride, so I recommend reading straight from there!)
Taewhan is also in chapters 48,52 and then finds out about Taehee's and Dojin's relationship in chapter 58 and totally gets bitch slapped by a book in by Dojin in chapter 60. Chapter 60-64 is a big glimpse into who Taewhan is, because of his fight with Dojin and because of season two, we know where he goes for the night in chapter 60. Yeonwu is in and out of these chapters as well, he really picks up his appearance in the middle of the first season, so I think that Dolsha was planning on putting the two characters together for a long time.
Another thing that you should know, is that this takes place in America and not in Korea. They are at an American University. Taewhan and Taehee have both been born in the states, but Taewhan is more fluent in Korean than Taehee, so they often speak english when together. Also, when the text is in brackets- that means they're speaking English. Uhhhm.... I think that might be it.

I knew there were some glimpse of their backstories even through the first season but I didn't know how to ask for it (how to word my question) when I was writing my original post. No problem! We all like some good angst. I think the angst picks up around chapter 20 in the first season, but it’s nothing like the second one because the couples are different! But yeah, chapter 47 Taehee and Dojin return back home from visiting Taehee’s family for thanksgiving. (Cute love confession and sexy sex). So it’s kind of a good time to pick it up too, cause it’s like a new arc is starting from there. Then when you’re bored you can read season one! Lol.. have fun!
which chapter should i start reading from if i am only interested in the second couple (taehwan/yeonwoo)? i have zero interest in the first couple but if there's anything i gotta know about them before the second couple pls let me know! thank you!
