Well having Names or even titles like owner/master/ma'am/mistress/ and dog/bunny/slave/baby is a rather normal practice in bdsm community. also the collar he had is a sigh of ownership subs wear them as a sign of being 'taken' or owned. It's fully consentual of course and safe words are always in tact. There are limits which parties don't push and play or kinks they don't touch if one of the parties are uncomfortable. Also just as a general note most media/manga is going to be not the greatest representation of irl bdsm relationships - it's fiction/fantasy or the author doesn't have cultural experience in irl bdsm circles
