Sickle cell anemia is not a deadly illness at all, the best it can do own it’s own is to cause u normal mild-sever anemia symptoms.
I think even the author didn’t write this story w a specific disease in mind -3-/
Sickle cell is absolutely deadly...my mother has it and the symptoms ARE NOT mild! If she catches any type of cold straight to the hospital...it’s very vital to life, it sounds like you don’t have it so please don’t downplay it
I’m not downplay it or anything thing else, and i’m sorry to know about ur mom. But one of my friends also have it, and i’m a med student, that’s why i know that sickle cell itself is not deadly, but if u had a spleen damage or any other side’s effects that’s when it can get dangerous due to the prolonged damage & the pain may get sever.
