But he's famous specifically because of his detailed backgrounds in animation

no this movie is from a very famous director makoto shinkai
and its not yaoi it was just our imagination
i can gaurantee you that this is a straight movie about romance with great graphics which very soothing
there is this movie called graden of words which very beautiful its written by him you can check it out its worth watching and there of bunch of other movies too
So...... it's like..... this "Your Name" movie is a normal romance movie or something......? like, a guy with a girl.......? Because me being a hardcore fujoshi now, a non bl story can only give me goose bumps............

This far, the only harem anime that I watched were akatsuki no yona (because I have a thing with strong character heroine, so I'm okay with it) and uta pri (but I'm so killing my self while watching it)......
I endured watching uta pri because the songs are good....... but then there are diabolic lovers and brothers conflict........ I'm sorry if I'm so mean by saying this, but by the sound of my fujoshi friend's story of the only reason she actually watch brothers conflict is because the voice actor's line up......... hahahahaha........ I can't say anymore than that.......
