i don't think she cares much rn or ever. she's focused on survival, so she's ready to discard him anytime in the future. the only reason she's holding him rn is to establish her authority. it's already apparent that she's manipulating him emotionally. according from the comments that contains spoilers, something will happen but i don't think that would influence anything. she'll definitely choose the alternative, the younger prince; probably the safe choice she have since the king favors that prince instead of rezef or the duke.
