Can someone explain the flashback we saw at the end when the woman says "friend" ?

it was when they went into the giant statue thingy where jinwoo was standing unconscious, i think ?

Oohh this is the part where jiwon goes to the latest dungeon and got his memories as the dark king etc. And the other hunters wants to save him because idk maybe they thought he’s in trouble or something. And the flashback is the part where the monarch???? Said “who are you to the jiwon” and she said “he’s my friend” and all.
