It's about the godsof ancient Egyotian mythology, with a twist in the sense that one of them is just like Maleficent, everyone thinks he's the evil one when he's just a victim who turned bad and did bad things because he'd been betrayed and abused behind the scenes, so he gets misunderstood and judged before the son of his enemies starts discovering the truth and helping him get redeemed and vindicated along with helping him do some atonement, while they avoid the traps set by the real bad guy (who's an evil mastermind that caused all the tragedies and keeps fooling most of the others). Be warned these are ancient Egypt's mythological gods so they take marriage between siblings as normal, and also there are two episodes of serious, graphic sexual abuse (NOT normalized nor romanticised, but shown as the serious thing that it is, in all its gravity).
