Imagine how desperate it is, losing the most important person in your life, thought he found a hope to complete his will and nearly fall in love, but then realized the one he trusted and liked was the culprit of everything. Can't help but falling deeper in love, finally escaped, and soon getting chased again, being offered a hope/a future, and here he trusted him again, fully, start to imagine his future,and then trust results in being "betrayed" again, by his love, and this became the last straw that breaks the camel's back.
His crush takes away everything from him in the name of love. Not that he doesn't want to be with him, but he's the one who killed all the possibilities. Even when he hates him to death, he still loves him.
Never had him lived his own life after coming to this world, and yet he's unable to even when his 'death' comes.
