This! I think the author does so well on making you empathize with her characters. Because if the tables were turned and we see this through Helena's perspective and without Eris' inner monologue, I highly doubt she'd get this much criticism (although it's very much deserved, she is literally living the lush life and thinks she's not doing anything wrong). Both are selfish in their own way, and both are responding to their problems in their own way. This is not struggle olympics.

Both characters only see themselves but portray it differently. MC doesn’t care about other people even those who didn’t do her wrong so she somehow has a bitter attitude towards everyone while Helena wants to be liked by everyone so she masks her irresponsible actions like spending time with an engaged guy and not doing any chores even if she is a maid with kindness.
