wow what an asshole(/TДT)/ if they fuck ill kill yuri
like at this point i want a gentleman to show up and win teach over bc im done with this mistreatment

teach has suffered enough, its time for fluff not for "angst but its the love interest thats doing it now", how are we supposed to root for this "romance" when yuri keeps being such an asshole?

i get that the author wanted to make a "mean bad boy who just needs a special someone to change" (thats how i got that at least, in the main story yuri seemed indifferent but not as bad as hes here) but cmon man

i love angst as much as the next guy but theres a reason its often paired with hurt/comfort, after the characters suffered i want to see them get back up, feel better, be happy again! it makes me hope i can do that too, but just throwing the character into a situation where they keep getting knocked back down bY THE LOVE INTEREST?? like bruh, the romance is just going to feel unhealthy and if ur trying to show people learning from mistakes and loving sb again thats not the way to do that man

idk i just wish author didnt waste this chance to show sth interesting to just do another "bad boy abuses love interest, but its ok bc bad boy is misunderstood and he means well" bc we have wayyyyyy too many of those

I think ur opinion is very much just on the surface observation, have u forgotten that it's not just yuri who is the "bad guy" here ,jiri too isn't pure ,in the starting chapters he kissed yuri without consent and also at ch 23 he had sex with yuri without consent and even called his lover's name right while having sex with yuri , isn't that too unbelievably disrespectful on jiri's part considering he is the older one here out of the two ,but I agree yuri acts like brat too but it's not ONLY him who is wrong

Also about "bad boy abuses his love interest" I'd like u to realise that this manhwa is way too far better and realistic than bs fluffy yaoi with no plot and only one dimensional characters so if u r in for only fluff this ain't for u ,also about the characters ,both yuri and jiri aren't the shade of white or black ,they both have flaws and are equally at fault ,we can see the streak of grey in both of them it's cause their character is written so well and executed with precision making it realistic unlike some of the absurd yaoi characters,so they both r equally at fault and responsible for the current messed up situation and having read the past ch ,it's vividly clear that both have forced each other sexually so u can't say that oh yuri is assaulting jiri in this chapter nor that only jiri was responsible for what happened in ch 23 ,they both r attracted towards each other and the line of forcing the other is very blur due to this ,so in conclusion stop putting the blame on just one of them cause if u have read thoroughly then it would be clear to u that it's not just one of them who is at fault ,it's BOTH OF THEM !!

teach has been and is still getting mistreated by yuri and yes he has abused him in return, but this was my criticism of yuri. i never said that teach is "an innocent cinnamon roll uwu" or anything. also i never said that yuri was the bad guy and that hes the only one in the wrong, bc there is no villain in this story. i never said that teach is a good person, he is mostly in the grey area as is yuri (also in ch 23 he was extremely drunk)

and yuri absolutely fits the stereotype, like r u kidding? of course he isnt black or white, nothing/no one truly is, but that doesnt change the fact that hes a "bad boy who abuses his love interest", bc he is! of course he has a personality but he still! fits! the! stereotype! he is a "bad boy" and he is an asshole and that doesnt subtract from his character but it still is a widely used archetype

(we can use an example to explain this better to u, hyesung from 'love is an illusion' and jaerim from 'never understand' both fit the "oblivious airhead uke" archetype, and yet jaerim is a determined and amiable guy that never gives up on helping his friends, and hyesung is a childish but actually smart guy that doesnt let his unfortunate situation get him down. they both fit the stereotype, but are ultimately more than that)

i could do a deep dive into his character but that wasnt the point i was trying to make. i understand that yuri is ultimately a complicated and nuanced character, yet in my eyes that doesnt make his actions somehow ok. he acts with malice towards teach and all i was trying to portray was MY OWN OPINION which is: im getting tired of it. so far theres been minimal to no character development in both of them and the arguments are repeating at this point. the manhwa is not only boring and unrealistic, but its also ruining the supposed most important part of it = the main characters' relationship. i simply cant root for their romance anymore.

also as a footnote: theres nothing wrong with liking "bs fluffy yaoi with no plot and only one dimensional characters". those stories can be extremely entertaining and uplifting.

also im not here just for fluff, i love angst much more tbh (angst thats well done of course). usually the best of stories out there maintain a careful balance between getting too edgy and still making you care about the characters and what happens to them but unfortunately not this one i guess

i was hoping that author would keep up making good manhwa after 'for your love' but i guess i set my expectations too high ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
