Kinda get what you are saying, but what you are mentioning is the Future version of marriage couple. They are in an era where women are limited to their rights,remember her past where she can’t do anything for herself because she is just a woman? From what I’ve seen, she gets used to that kind of setup and habit herself in asking for permission.
I'd like to refute that Lucia ain't a strong FL. She might not be like other 'strong FL' who take immediate action or have thorough and elaborated plans. But, Lucía is a strong FL.
1. She's able to grasp the situation at hand and get herself through hurdles.
2. She's emotionally and mentally strong. At least, that's what I believe.
3. She knows her own limits.
Idk what more I can say tbh, but the Lucía that I've gotten to know through the LN is one hell of a bad ass woman.

I really feel like there is a huge wall between them, I don't like how she needs to ask for permission every time to go out, feel like if there really was that trust between them she wouldn't even need to ask. our female lead isn't weak, but she isn't really strong either, It kinda feels like she's just this doll that the duke wants to keep safe.. wish they didn't treat her too preciously and wish she would be more assertive, or have some kind of interesting hobby or assert some dominance in social gatherings, or start a trend , just something that makes her a proud duchess a less of a frail girl who just spends all her time confined in a castle
