It’s not because it’s not popular. From what I’ve gathered Yarichin has become a side project for the author because they are doing other things now the updates for the manga are slow because they make it at a slow paste meaning they wait for awhile then they do another one kind of thing. From another person I heard it’s around a year or 2 then the author releases a new chapter.
The anime is, not the manga. Its only popular because of tiktok.
The manga is actually pretty popular like you said sort of though the manga gained more attention and readers due to the fact that more people started knowing it and watching the anime. After watching the anime a lot of people turn to the manga to continue with the story.
What I mean by it isn't that popular is you don't see it frequently unless people are making jokes about it. Its not as popular other yaoi manga's where people are constantly posting about it and you can buy it on lezhin and other official manga websites. I rarely see people talking about this anymore, idk If it's the same for other people though.
Mm to me that not true maybe that’s just my feed. I see it get talked about a lot and it’s rarely jokes anymore for me it’s just people Loving it and talking about it. I see people constantly posting about it. I’ve seen pictures to covers to cosplays proably because I’m in a lot of communities. And lenzhin is a bit different lezhin is for webtoons, manhwa things like that it’s Korean based so you won’t see Yarichin there or being promoted there either. Plus more people are reading manhwas but that doesn’t mean manga isn’t popular or that certain mangas aren’t popular because of it. Yarichin I would say is popular but one of the reason you might not see it often is how slow it updates because of the author. And things like that happen for everything really things die down for a bit and then come back once there an update, etc. so it hasn’t lost popularity atleast to me but tiktok has been playing a factor in the increase of views in Yarichin which can be bad and good.

Well I haven't heard about the manga or anime in a while, I've only recently heard a lot of people hating on it because they're minors. You can't really read this manga just anywhere you'd have to look really hard. There's not a legal/official website to read it on (atleast not that I've heard of) so that's what I was trying to say by you can't purchase it on lezhin and other official websites like that. A lot of people have been hating on it because the characters are minors so it decreased the amount of viewers by a lot so that's another thing. I dont wanna go back and forth listing reasons why we think its popular and why we think its not Tho. So I might end it here since I don't really think we're gonna get anywhere by doing that if yk what I mean, I hope I don't sound rude though.
