Maybe the father was considerate of her because he's the emperor ya know. Maybe a lot of dangers will happen to her( and thd babies) once found out that she's the mother of the children.
Because the fathers word is the law, if he says you and your children should be buried alive because you looked at him wrong. Everybody else would agree or at least shout their mouths. Nothing is fear here, she just has to protect herself and her children and she found him untrustworthy, and by his action I can see that he kidnapped the children just bait her.
he is the emperor tho, I think he's trying to protect elan in his own way since he know he has a lot of enwmies. cause if he wasn't instead of saying that elan was a fugitive he would've just directly said she was the empress so anyone who sees her report to him or something. plus he did kidnap the kids but as we can see alverre wasn't a good guy and he already has a hunch abput the elan and the kids, the kids will be safer with the emperor that alvere

Cause they’re her children, not his. And I for one would not let my (nonexistent)children near a man who is trying to stalk me and get me to be with him all because of a one night stand. You have to realise that they weren’t in a relationship all they did was have sex and she became pregnant and after that it’s her choice of what to do with her children and she decided that she didn’t want them near a man who is literally the emperor and who literally put a spell on her to see her in her dreams it’s fucking creepy.
dang everyone hating the emperor, analysing the story . the emperor knew she is pregnant with his child , dont you remember what the doctor said. and for some reason the creepy one is the knight. when she is worrying over her children he is still insisting his proposal , when he cant do nothing. the kid are the children of the emperor , beside the emperor and those man that was called his shadows and are not that bad. they just suffered a lot.
It’s explained in the chapter where a girl come to the emperor and said that she was that girl he sleep with. At that moment MC asked him what he will do if someone came and said that she has his child, the emperor answered in a way that made MC misunderstanding, in fact, MC thought that the emperor will harm her children if he found out.

the emperor will have a hard time expressing himself since he had a bad childhood. i kinda saw a spoiler saying thatthe emperor was locked down along with those guys known as shadows.
Okok I know that the emperor knew of her pregnancy but who cares? Put yourself in the shoes of a young pregnant woman who didn’t want or expect this but decides to keep the baby anyway and keep it a secret, imagine someone found out your secret but didn’t tell you and just kept meeting you in your dreams without you knowing that it’s not a dream, imagine the anxiety. This man can kill you at a moment’s notice and you’ve been keeping a secret from him, plus he’s well known to be violent, what do you do? You leave, you want what’s best for your child and what’s best for your child is not being around some crazed emperor. And here’s a note for you: trauma isn’t an excuse to track down someone who you had sex with one time and kidnap her children. Also your point with the knight: did I ever bring him up? No. Do I think he should keep proposing to her when she has clearly said no? No I don’t think he should. You’re allowed to want the mc and the emperor to get together that’s fine but you shouldn’t ignore what he’s done, if he did any of that to you I can promise you that you’d be absolutely terrified. You’ve put a rose coloured filter over all of this when in reality the emperor is a man who has threatened, stalked and kidnapped her children, he is also a man fully capable of killing whoever he wants. I like this don’t get me wrong, I think that this is entertaining and a decent read but still I think that we shouldn’t keep romanticising behaviour like this.

No the childrens are theirs if there is a child there is a mom and dad you cant Just say it yours or something okey its creepy that he is going her Dreams or whatever but its his style of communication Just because he cant communicate doesnt mean you can take his childrens and run away if it was dad who take the childrens and run away from mom its become how can you take the child from Mother but when its dad of course she is right
I get what you’re saying but they never talked about raising the children together, she’s allowed to be a single mother, just cause a man got her pregnant doesn’t mean that same man has to help raise whatever child she gives birth to. Not to mention that the children weren’t even born when she ran away, at that point it’s her choice to do whatever she wants cause she thought that he didn’t know she was pregnant. Maybe if they were in a relationship and the emperor was a decent man I’d think otherwise but they’re not, I don’t think y’all understand that they’re not in a relationship she is single completely and utterly single and has the right to do whatever she wants with her children as a single parent. Just cause the father of her children is alive doesn’t mean that she has to be with him and raise their children together. If you got pregnant from a one night stand you don’t have to go back to that man and become a family, it’s ridiculous to think otherwise. i agree. like okay the dad is there and maybe he does have communication problems but so? like if he has communication problems thats his fault and she isnt obligated to accommodate for his ass. and she is totally justified to run away to protect herself and her children from what she thinks is coming to harm her and her children. Obviously this is fiction but i really hope people dont apply such a romanticized image to real life situations
I agree that she doesn't have to be with the man but it also doesn't mean that ahe can just take away the mans right to be a parent. being a spouse and a parents are 2 different responsibilities. my problem with elan was she just decided everything on her own she didn't even try to talk to him or to actually know the truth about rumors because ypu know rumors can be exagerrating. If they had just talked and the emperor said he doesn'twant to be a dad then is when elan left and told him to fuck off and not show up in her dreams cause unlike him she wants to be a parent. but it didn't happen and now they made their lives complicated. my take on this in reality is that if I get pregnant even if its just a one night stand and I know the dad, I'll inform him and if he doesn't to be part of the kids life fine, at least when kid grows up I don't have to make up stories or something. but thats just me
Yes thank you!! People have been looking up to what the emperors been doing as if it’s cute or romantic but it’s not. He’s an obsessive stalker no matter how you look at it. I’m fine with people liking him cause I have to admit I’ve liked some really shitty characters before, even worse than the emperor, but you can’t just ignore everything else. I remember watching something and it basically said that “there’s a difference between enjoying a flawed movie and calling a movie flawless” even tho that video was about movies I still think it stands here.
Yes but the emperor isn’t just any man you’d meet, he’s a man in a high position of power who is known to be violent and cruel. Who cares if it’s only rumours? Just because it’s all rumours doesn’t mean it’s not true and if I was currently pregnant and wanted to keep the child I wouldn’t want to find out if those rumours were true or not, cause if they were I would be endangering not only myself but my child.

You’re way easier to talk to than the other person who was annoyed at me so if you ever want someone to argue with I’ll be here. We both have similar opinions on the fact that she is allowed to leave with her children it’s just that the way we would go about it is different so it was refreshing.
