EXACTLYYY I don’t understand why people forgive characters so quickly after learning “oh well he was just doing it to protect her.” OK? AND? Regardless of his intentions he still hurt her and her child so much, so why is “trying to protect them” a valid reason to treating them like shit?

Even if his intentions were made out of love or to protect her.. well to begin with it didn't work she died not only did she die she also died alone and watched her stunt buddy take her son away from her and so many people were like "well he loves her and yeah he made a mistake but still he did it to protect her" SHE DIED!? I don't know how he was trying to protect her? from the other nobles? I feel like openly letting them know you hate her leaves her more vulnerable not only in her emotions but towards all the people you're trying to protect her from

I feel like y'all forgive the ml so easily in these stories and the fact that people use the excuse "well the MC did bad stuff too why aren't you talking about her" huh? We're not talking about the MC we're talking about the ml and for me I feel like he could have let her in on what he was trying to do he had no reason to be disrespectful to her when they were alone and the way he did it still got her killed you're telling me the best plan he had was to treat her and his son like garbage 100% of the time to protect her? How does that work? All I did was read the spoilers but I'm still missing how that makes him a good guy because he did it because he loved her? Okay?
