There aren’t any raws available past chapter 5 as far as I could find so I bought the official release that’s up to chapter 21 and my heart is hurting so much for Cirrus.
Cirrus essentially uses Skyler as a fake boyfriend to piss someone off and kisses Skyler in front of them to prove the relationship. Skyler freaks out and we see glimpses of a flashback regarding a traumatic kiss he had with someone in middle school previously. One of them was blindfolded but seemed consensual. Skyler is throwing up in the middle of the night over this trauma after Cirrus kisses him and chewing his lips until they bleed. He’s very triggered but we don’t learn any more about it yet or what his illness is.
EDIT: okay- so upon rereading and seems like a prank was pulled on Skyler and it was not at all consensual. I zoomed in and the person kissing the blindfolded one sitting down has either stubble or crazy blackheads near their mouth and not the person who initiated the kiss pre-blindfold. The guy who blindfolds Skyler whispers in his ear while he’s being kissed to open his mouth so it seems he got tricked into kissing someone else. The trauma makes sense now and why he starts to vomit after Cirrus kisses him and Cirrus is super hurt over it wondering if he’s dirty or diseased in Skyler’s eyes. The memory really fucks with Skyler to the point where his grades start slipping and he blames and takes it out on Cirrus rather aggressively.
Idk what his feelings were initially for Skyler but it seems he’s fallen hard and is suffering a ton. Proud of Skyler for holding his own and not letting Cirrus get away with crossing boundaries and letting himself get abused/gaslit into love but god damn... Skyler really hits back hard. Both physically and emotionally just beating Cirrus up lol. And Cirrus is trying so hard to win Skyler over too.
Also, turns out Skyler liking Chanil isn’t delusional or baseless at all. Skyler didn’t want anything to do with him at first but Chanil wore him down by persistently asking for photography help and annoying him into a friendship. Pretty sure Chanil likes Skyler even if he isn’t consciously aware of it. The photos don’t seem that creepy when you get their back story and ironically feels like Chanil would just be super flattered if he found out. He blushes a ton around Skyler and really admires him.
There’s a really sad scene after Skyler has recoiled from Cirrus trying to kiss him again that Cirrus is hanging out with his friends with his beaten face and completely lost in a daze just staring across at Chanil thinking Skyler wouldn’t recoil from Chanil.
Anyway official release is on hiatus until May 28th but there should be no pause in English version. It’s really, really good but honestly I wish I wouldn’t have caught up if I knew there was going to be this long of a hiatus.
Oh also, speaking of other iterations of these characters, I just remembered the author has a picture of Cirrus at a funeral on her Twitter. He looks really good lol but I hope it's not a future spoiler for Sky... progeny
