Yeah, I don't get why authors like using this trope of when even though the ml or fl had been in love with another person before, when they fall in love with the mc, they act as though its the first time they've ever felt such feelings and then don't know what it is.
Easy, it's to drag the story. If as story was flowing in a nice manner, not many stories would reach 100+ chapters.
There's might be other reason, but the main reason in the end is money, much less risky to drag a story that have some popularity, than think about another story that might end up not being anywhere near as popular.
What I hate though, is that nowadays dragging a story is so common that author start doing it from the beginning, while before author often waited to see how popular the story would be, and how much peoples wanted it to continue before thinking of dragging the story.
Why do they keep going back? Even I am an adult but I don't understand how you be all lovey, sneaky flirty, can't-live-without-each-other but then go like "what? ME? Fall in LOVE? Impossible"
