Why do I have a feeling history will repeat itself?

Both half brothers have already fallen for our sweet Charlotte... I just hope that she will choose Arthur and they can have their happy ending together! The toxic king can go and have the same fate as his father for all I care! He caused so much suffering to the Duke's only son even though the Duke back then( when he managed to free his wife from the obsessed king who defiled her) even took him in and raised him like his own!
