Idk bro I’m pretty sure a lot of people here aren’t mad because of all the problematic stuff in the story, but just because the writing/marketing deceptively tries to sell it as graphic bdsm shit when it’s clearly just abuse. I don’t really care if glorified abuse is your fetish lol, but I think as a creator, it’s so important to let people know what they’re getting into so that nobody has to get hurt by the content. The thing is, the creators barely even acknowledge the rape ensuing in this story, leading people to interpret them as being irresponsible and misusing their creative license to make a rape story disguised as a romance. I think if the publishers and creators were just upfront about the fact that Doona is a whole predator people wouldn’t have been pulled in by the false advertising and wouldn’t be so upset.
