Can I asked what's the connection of Yul's mother to Luan's? Am I right that Luan's mother is the one with Ae something. Sorry not really good on remembering names
I don't think there is any connection to Luan because previously we saw Luan's mother in his flashback ...

About telling him about his plan, is either way getting that psycho killed or destroyed because he has done so many harm to Yul the psycho knows many things about Yul origines and never told him a single thing he even might harmed Yul's mother... and Yul is sweet hearted Luan is afraid if he'll defend that psycho so it will break Luan's heart.
It's my own deduction but the part of Luan and Yul are not brothers is 10000000000% true
