Totally agreeing with you. I'm not good with words and physical affection tends to make me uncomfortable, so I prefer just having a good time with my partner and thinking of things he would love to have, while he is more of expressing his feeling with words and such. It's not as extreme as in this manga but it's similar. Yet we have a good and healthy relationship because we understand each other's way of expressing our feelings and if we need to understand something the other did or didn't we communicate.

Y'all, they just have different love languages. She uses words and physical affection, and he uses gifts and quality time. I don't find it sad, but cute how they're so comfortable in letting the other be themselves without pressuring them to change, while also not be afraid to be themselves.
