...Do we even know who Azusa's dad is? Was he client? And does that mean it's possible Azusa and Karino are related?
It's all fishy how Karino is so damn focused on Azusa.
He's got it bad for Azusa. Karinos attracted to azusA. I really hope that they're not relate because I can't handle incest. This manga is fucked up enough. Let's leave the incest out of it
I don't think they're related
incest isn't a new topic for ogawa chise, if i'm right Ibitsu na Kakera (Broken Pieces) is about an incestuous relationship between two brothers and Kusatta Rasen is about the relationship between a father and his son. That being said I can understand why some people might think the relationship between karino and azusa might be incestuous: azusa's mother being a prostitute some people might think karino's father was a client and azusa's father. You could even argue that the reason Tatsumi is somewhat acknowledge by karino's father as oppose to azusa is because of their mother's, azusa's mother being a prostitute would place her at the bottom of the social ladder, while karino's father is a minister hence a high social status, with the ability to toy and silence those in a lower social class. You could even talk about how it mirrors the caste system and the current relationship with azusa and karino, though that being said since we don't know who Tatsumi's mother is so its not that strong of an argument.
I can't say for certain why karino's obsessed with azusa but i have a feeling it has something to do with how much choice or freewill karino has in his own life.
Hence why I don't believe azusa and karino are related, I can't say for certain how chise is going to take this manga but I don't think it will end with incest.
I've made an observation and some of u my not agree but I think this makes sense.
In chapter 3 we see azusa get ditched by karino because his dad is sick. He tells azusa to go away because school is just like a pastime before he enters society
In chapter 10 we see azusa frame karino for cheating on a test. For the first time we see karino get actually really angry.
In chapter 11 we find out that Karino is actually not really allowed to talk to azusa because it would ruin his reputation (at least thats what some people in the comments said they translated)
And again I'm chapter 10 when azusa got that information about karino. It seems to perfect to simple like theres more to it.
And tatsumi is his half brother (so the mother or the father had been sleeping around before or something)
I don't know about u guys but there's something very fishy going on in karino's home and I want to know what it is.
