offtopic but omfg thank you uploader for telling us about buying in won.... i would've never thought that L charges DOUBLE the amount in dollar... wtf??? someone needs to call them out on that shit, they have been scamming international readers for years... 15% mark up i'd get... but double??? how is that ok? i lost MONEY money and for what? some authors even said they receive LESS if you buy the translated version..... here you think you are doing something good and support the creators but all you do is make rich people richer ffs

    i’m not sure if this apply the same as albums but kpop albums in south korea nationally cheaper than internationally because it produced in south korea. my point is that they apply that into comic webtoon or manhwa too.

    no, the albums is because of international shipping fees, but online webtoons/manhwas shouldn't face this issue so i have no idea why they're doing this. maybe it's the cost of hiring translators and extra english editors but it's still pretty unreasonable imo

    Maybe they have to pay some kind of US tax because it says "L US" on their site? But that would be weird, normally they wouldn't have to do that and just offer a translated version of their website... also paying tax twice would be stupid as fuck. It can't be the translation because Fargo literally said she receives less when you buy the translated version. So you can assume that the author basically has to give up a percentage of their revenue for the translation. I lost around 150 bucks just because I wasn't buying in won... the fact that they even give you the option to buy from their korean site should tell you that there is no legitimate reason for them to charge so much more... they are just snobs who are trying to scam international readers imo
