THANK YOU!!!! This is everything I wanted to say to the translator as well. I mean, I am glad for the translations and all, but it seems like those side notes are shaming the uke for something he shouldn't be shamed for. And I think the pair WILL find a compromise that both will be happy with.

To the translation team (or just the translator):
It’s not really that surprising that MC would say that ML is his ideal but he prefers him without makeup/female get up. He didn’t link shame him or anything, he just stated his honest opinion with warning. And he’s gay; he is attracted to men (and ML) so it’s not surprising that he finds men traits more appealing than female her ups. And once again, he did warn him that his honesty might hurt him.
If ML had his outfits placed as more important that the MC, he has total rights to refuse this relationship. MC showed that he was ready to accept him either way but that it was difficult to adapt to it since he’s gay (not bi or pan which would make the attractiveness of bigender traits not as affected).
In a relationship, if one refuses to be mended, the other will have to bend two folds. They have the right to refuse not to change a certain aspect of themselves and that just means the relationship is not meant to be.
A good relationship is when both sides agree to bend and evolve themselves to fit the other in a healthy, comfortable, consented, and unbiased way.
If ML feels he can do this sacrifice (to a certain level perhaps), then it’s his right and he has set his own priorities. There’s nothing bad about this as long as he finds this to be the best choice for him.
And for the last time, MC had warned ML that he was going to be honest and that it might hurt him. That means he cares not only for ML and his preferences, but also for himself as he did not stay quiet about his true feelings. That would’ve 10000% been more toxic.
Anyways, I was a little surprised that this was going to be an issue (MC requesting no get up) since it’s basically the ML’s character base but I really wasn’t that surprised since, once again, he’s gay. It’s comparable to a straight girl who would prefer to have a basic guy than one who dresses up as a girl; there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just basic sexual preference knowledge.
Anyways, I found at the very least the fact that MC, for the fourth time, tried to respectfully ease the conversation into it rather than blurt out his honest opinion without regards for the ML’s feelings to be commendable.
