100%. If we just absolved people from guilt or forgave them because they had a shitty life, prisons would be largely empty. We can acknowledge someone was wronged while also thinking they're shitty for wronging other people. He's a victim of abuse but also a perpetrator of abuse; neither cancel each other out and I refuse to (only) feel sorry for him when he is the cause of someone else's misfortune. That wouldn't be fair to the victim he's created

But if this story is trying to make me feel sorry for the blond without redemption for the victim, fuck this. A lot of people grew up being abused but still ended up fine. I hope this isn't some magical 'became kind because of mc/love' kinda shit.. （￣へ￣）
