it’s not poly. poly is when there are multiple people together in one relationship. she was in an entanglement with four people separately. they have nothing to do with eachother and they understand that. they know what’s happening and they signed up for it there’s nothing unfair about it
Sorry but total disagreement here (because I like Athena. After all, what you're saying actually makes it easier, not harder, to hate her). They do have every right to be angry. Just like women in ancient harems had every right to be upset when new women were brought in without their consent. Consent is ongoing for one. For two, being raised in a society that finds polygamy normal does NOT mean you 'signed up' for anything.
And, lol, peeps, why are you saying that just because most readers don't say anything about men who have harems that no one should say anything about women who have harems, rather than that it should be a clue for people to start speaking up against both????
Polygamy for political reasons is also worse (because political reasons are often mixed in with sexual ones) than polygamy for purely sexual reasons.
No the reason this is different is because Athena did obviously care for all the men she slept with. She just has no trust in men. And they are the ones who approach her not the other way around. She is also relatively innocent and easily taken in. Far different from the jerk emperor's of Chinese manhua I would say.
