completely agree. at first i thought the protagonist was arien (btw arjen is pronounced ar-hen) and that we werent getting ANY perspective on arjen when its a manhwa about TWINS, but immediately after i thought that it felt as if arjen was the only one acting like his "age," and getting all of the spotlight. the only time arien gets her time now is when shes going through "character development"/realizing shes been acting like a child or when shes doing some cringey main character speech to boys and then having them fal in love with her, just because they can and totally not because shes a girl and needs to have her own moments that arent connected with arjen in any way because all of her major moments have something to do with arjen.... basically, what im tryns say, is that she now just looks like a complete extension of her twin brother now.
no worries I got what you meant, I agree. damn I just wanted a story about twins where no one would left on the sidelines. feel like the only reason they made arien pov was because she was a girl, not because she was meant to play the role of a "lead character" made even more obvious by the fact shes the only girl aside from the maids.
if it was going to be like this, they should have just kept argen as the lead and killed his sister off or something. what they are doing with her now is just a disservice to her character.
why does she have so little development? by this point argen has always been the one asking all the plot related questions, and decided when or when not to distance themselves from the family (i.e when the father brought up their coming of age ceremony the first time, argen said they would not be going. without ariens opinion on the matter btw) feels like we were just waiting for the moment when argen decided to forgive the family officially.
then he has that whole thing with a stronger connection and interest in they're guardian and noble blood.. the story pays so much focus to his reactions. arien is just sort of.. there.. I think the novel actually focused more him too. so its like he was always supposed to be the main lead.
female characters are overshadowed by male characters, thats usually how it goes in most media. I guess its to be expected this time too, but when it was thought that argen wasn't getting enough attention.. a whole bunch of people were ranting about how "unfair" it was on the forums. fortunately this time, no one seems to have an issues with leaving arien on the bench lmao.
